With more than 15 years in the online and mobile industry, Tim was the founder of the highly successful UK based new-media company 'Prezence' in 1998 producing ground breaking digital work for record companies, music artists and brands worldwide. Spearheading Prezence's expansion into South Africa in 2002, Tim quickly established the Prezence SA team to become one of the country's leading new media and mobile creative agencies.
Recognising the importance on online content, EntertainmentAfrica.com was launched to the content-starved South African public in 2003 and has become one of the largest producers and distributors of online and mobile entertainment content in the country.
Tim's focus is very much 'digital for the masses' and has been instrumental in high profile technological developments within Africa, digital brand strategy and enhanced user experiences across online, touch and mobile platforms. The Prezence divisions have now become leading players in mobi site development and interactive mobile technologies, and Tim is extremely passionate about enabling brands to take advantage of the prolific handset usage and growth in Africa.
Having joined Facebook in March 2008, shortly after Facebook opened its London office, Trevor heads up Facebook's EMEA Strategy and Planning function.
He is responsible for Sales Strategy and Planning, Insights, and Thought Leadership, with the core objective of helping the growing EMEA Sales teams articulate the Facebook value proposition and advertising product benefits for our EMEA marketing partners.
Prior to this, Trevor had a series of Marketing and Strategy roles at AOL in the UK, which is where he gained much of his digital marketing experience.
Nic van den Bergh is Head of Digital Media Services at Aegis Media in Cape Town. This founding partner of Thunda.com started his online media career in Cape Town back in 1999.
Through several management positions at companies as Fin24 and Longtail he developed a full understanding of Management of full service digital agency, creative, production & development, media, search and social network marketing.
In his current position he heads up the Aegis Digital marketing team and is responsible for full through the line strategy of clients like Adidas, Cell C and Old Mutual.
In his spare time Nic loves fly fishing.
Pete started his own London based agency in 1990 and worked with brands across the globe from The UK, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Canada, The United States, Ireland and Botswana.
Moving to South Africa in 2000, Pete founded and creatively leads Gloo, South Africa's most awarded Digital Agency. Crafting integrated and direct communications across a number of connected mediums, from print to the internet, cell phones to interactive television and many emerging digital mediums. Gloo has won South Africa's Agency of the year award in both 2006 & 2007.
Pete's personal creative credits include 2 Loerie Grand Prix and multiple recognition at: Cannes, Echo, The Emmy's, Promax, The Loeries, D&AD, CLIOs, The New York Advertising Festival, The Design Indaba Awards, Assegai, Caples, Webby and The Bookmarks.
He sits on the committee of The Creative Circle and The Digital Forum.
In 2008, he judged at The One Show, CLIOs and The Broadcast Design Awards.
Joanne was appointed Director of GroupM Interaction in South Africa in September 2007 to start the Interactive Media division for the WPP Group, delivering interactive strategy and implementation for the group's media agencies: Mindshare, MediaCompete, NotaBene and MediaEdge CIA.
Joanne has over 10 years experience in Digital Media, starting her career with Primedia Online in 1997. She then moved to Oracle Online Sales as an online media strategist and eventually became business development manager.
Her career has spanned over a variety of positions and brands. Her roles included Business Unit Director of Nokia for Southern Africa at MediaCompete, Online Media Director and Media Director at FCB, where SA's largest Mobile Network Vodacom, and Toyota were her key brands and Marketing Specialist for Microsoft, responsible for the web brands, MSN and Hotmail.
Joanne offers a 360degree view on digital, understanding the demands of clients, agencies and media owners alike. She has served and continues to serve on several industry bodies including the AMF, AMASA and the MMA.
Apart from her passion for interactive media, her personal interests include mountain biking, golf, yoga, NLP, travelling and getting involved with the sustainable development of people through personal transformation and development workshops and coaching.
Richard Mullins has been with the company for nine years. He has played an instrumental role in the company's growth, opening the Johannesburg office and helping clients throughout MEA identify industry–leading solutions to their digital marketing needs.
Prior to joining Acceleration, Richard developed extensive experience in the agency industry, working with Ogilvy and Saatchi & Saatchi for clients including Unilever, Sun International, Nedbank Guinness, Toyota and M-Net. He also holds an Honours degree in Communications.

After qualifying as a chartered accountant and spending a few years in investment banking, Yaw decided to make a shift to the world of marketing and media.
He joined Habari Media in January 2007 as the general manager of the Johannesburg office, his main focus being the below the line promotions business.
Habari has identified that the online presence on the rest of the continent warrants some investment on our part and during 2008, Yaw was appointed the General Manager of Habari's African expansion.
His duties are primarily to set up some form of representation in the countries that warrant such a presence as well as to assist in educating the advertisers in country about the benefits of online advertising.

After working in the insurance business for 6 years being responsible for International Affairs and Investors Relations, Andreas switched to the media business.
He started with Mediacom Austria as Head of Client Service (classical media). After 2 years he launched beyond interactive (Mediacom's digital unit) which became market leader in this segment. In addition to that Andreas was appointed Managing Director of MediaX, an associated media agency to Mediacom.
Andreas joined Carat and isobar on 1 January 2005 as Managing Director for Austria and became also responsible for the Adriatic Region (Ex-Yugoslavia) mid 2005. The focus in Austria was put on sustainable business development and the implementation of Carats specific planning philosophy 3C.
Beginning of 2006 Carat Austria was acknowledged as "Austria's most well-known media agency" (triconsult, Feb 2006). With 2008 Andreas was appointed CEO Aegis Media South Africa being responsible for the whole local operation.
